Offered is one 10.5" plate from Paden City glass with the lovely Gazebo etch. Gazebo and Utopia are considered to be variants on the same pattern, depending on the scale of the etch.
The plate has gilding on the rim and the inner ring. There is a depression in the center of the glass, and I believe this was meant as a serving dish. Normally I’d say it is the plate from a cheese and cracker set, however, the size given for a cheese plate in The Encyclopedia of Paden City Glass is 12", whereas this has a diameter of 10.5". The base has a ground and polished foot ring, with four glass ‘darts’ extending out from the ring.
Condition - Excellent - no chips, cracks or fleabites. There is some wear to the gilding along the rims, as is typical for items of this age.
