This is a very large, 13" stylized floral stoneware platter by Stavangerflint of Norway. It would look stunning on a stand, or as a wall hanging in your Eames era, Scandinavian modern home. Or use it everyday as a cake plate or chop plate. I believe it dates from the 1970s, though possibly from the 60s.
The design is of an amber gold flower with blue-green leaves and black accents, with a blue-green band around the plate rim. The platter is stamped on the reverse: Stavangerflint, Norway. This is this one of noted designer Inger Waage’s tabletop designs; very similar items can be found shown at the website www.gratisnettside.no/stavangerflint..
It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or glaze issues. There is normal wear on the base ring. Being stoneware, it is extremely heavy - weighing nearly 3 pounds - and the shipping will necessarily reflect that.
