A vintage teak wood serving tray by ESA of Denmark, having 3 clear glass rectangular serving inserts for appetizers, relish or condiments. The Danish Modern design is a fine example of form meets function, with the two ends having slightly carved out areas on the bottom sides, serving as handles.
The attention to detail extends to the glass dishes, which have a foot ring so that the bottom of the dish does not become worn by sitting directly on the wood. Each insert is handled for easy pick-up.
The base is marked with the wood-burned signature: “Teak ESA, Denmark.”
Size: 13-1/2" long by 5-3/4" wide. Interior of each dish measures 4-7/8" long by 3-1/2" wide.
Condition: Very good pre-owned condition. Teak has beautiful color and no splits or stains. There are a few knife marks on the bottom of the tray (it serves nicely as a cheese board without the glass dishes). Two of the dishes are free of nicks, chips and cracks. One has 2 small nicks on the rim, not noticeable in normal viewing. The larger of the 2 nicks is shown in zoom in the last picture.
