Offered is a large glass serving bowl from Georges Briard. Made of clear glass, it is decorated with a gold rim and gold spangles, giving it a sponged effect. Around the sides it has two cut pears and two cut apples in blue, green and gilt, which I believe is a variation on the Forbidden Fruit pattern. It is signed Georges Briard under one of the pears. A great addition to your Eames era/retro kitchen.
Size: 10" diameter by 4-3/4" high
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, flakes or deposits. The graphics are bright and strong and show no signs of wear. There are a few scratches on the outside of the bowl, which do not show except upon close inspection. There is also a stray line of gilding that meanders down from the gold rim - this is a manufacturing flaw and mentioned for complete accuracy.
